The Drum Glasgow
If you're wandering through Shettleston Road and stumble across The Drum Glasgow, you're in for more than just a meal-you're signing up for an experience where hearty pub classics meet a buzzing local vibe. Located at 1071 Shettleston Rd, Glasgow G32 7PE, this spot has made a name for itself as a go-to hangout for those in the know. Whether you're flying solo or catching up with mates, The Drum blends comfort food, a stellar drinks menu, and live entertainment into one memorable outing.
What sets The Drum Glasgow apart from the usual pub scene is its ability to bring the community together. This place isn't just about grabbing a bite-it’s where people come to watch the game, sing their heart out at karaoke, or catch live music acts that get the crowd going. With live performances, karaoke nights, and a warm, informal setting, it naturally draws a mixed crowd, from solo diners to groups celebrating milestones.
Let’s talk food-because The Drum doesn’t play when it comes to satisfying comfort cravings. One of the standouts on the menu is the Steak Pie with Chips and Veg, known for its fork-tender beef and flaky pastry crust. If you're more of a curry fan, the Katsu Chicken Curry and the Chilli are top picks, offering that ideal balance between spice and satisfaction. Those after a British classic should look no further than the Fish and Chips, golden and crisp on the outside, soft and flaky within.
For the young (or young at heart), the Chicken Nugget Chips & Garlic Bread combo delivers a nostalgic punch. And don’t skip the sides-the Onion Rings here are fried to perfection, with a crunch that’s genuinely addictive.
If you’re craving comfort with a twist, the Macaroni Cheese & Chips with Garlic Bread is a carb-lover’s dream, and yes, you can pair that with a Strawberry Sundae or a Trio of Ice Cream for a finish that’s indulgent without apology. Dessert lovers also rave about the Alabama Fudge Cake and Sticky Toffee Pudding, which sit squarely in the “don’t share this” category.
Of course, no pub visit is complete without something cold to sip on, and The Drum Glasgow doesn’t disappoint. There’s Morreti, Strongbow, and a good selection of spirits and cocktails, plus Iced Tea for those keeping it chill. The beer selection is a real highlight, perfect for game night or an evening wind-down.
The space itself is functional and inviting. Wheelchair-accessible toilets make the venue more inclusive, though there’s no accessible car park at the moment. Still, with a layout that works for most guests and a friendly staff that goes out of their way to make you feel welcome, it’s an easy choice for casual dining or low-key nights out.
And while many places claim to be good for watching sport, The Drum lives up to the hype. Multiple screens, a lively crowd, and that energetic Glasgow spirit make it a solid choice for catching your favorite teams in action.
With delivery available and dine-in service that keeps the locals coming back, The Drum Glasgow hits the sweet spot between classic pub fare and an upbeat social scene. It’s the kind of place where a quick dinner turns into a full evening out, and where your new favorite dish might just be something you’ve eaten a hundred times before-but better.

Dropped in for some food as my wife had visited with her mate and said I would like the food. Well she wasn’t wrong - food was lovely - steak pie was excellent with plenty meat and lovely gravy. Would certainly visit again. Great pint served by the lovely staff.
cheap drinks didn't eat here but the menu looks decent.
Went there Saturday night 1st February with wife and 2 friends for couples meal deal of Steak dinner and bottle of wine each per couple best value meal I've ever had. Expected a tiny bit of steak No way it was full size with chips (lovely) and Veg Definitely be back again
We had a lovely meal here today. A bit of a mixup with our booking so we couldn’t get the Sunday roast as planned but staff were so nice to give us 3 courses of anything from the menu for the same price as an alternative. The food was great and everything was really fresh!
1st time eating here. Did not take pic of starters. I had chicken wings that were amazing. Gf had jalapeno poppers that she loved. This is our mains. Gf had steak pie and chips The beef was super tender and delicious. The chips were superb too. I had chicken katsu curry. It too was superb. It could have had a little more sauce though. Then we had a side of onion rings. They were clearly home made and we're also superb. The staff are all super nice too. They were super helpful. No matter the querie they were great. I can't wait to go back again
